Time was when Cavitenos would have to go all the way towards Manila or Tagaytay City just to hold their parties - and thereby having to pay top prices for it either way.
Situated almost by the entrance of Imus Poblacion from the highway, Emps and Mel’s Patio Food Services is right in the heart of Cavite along the commercial strip of the Imus market, the Imus Pilot Elementary School, and the erstwhile Imus Institute. Uniquely, it boasts of the more than adequate secure parking inside that is easily accessible from the main road. Such ample parking space at the back of the hall could comfortably accommodate from 15 to 20 vehicles.
The venue which was inaugurated on September 13,2008 was named after Concepcion and Carmelo Jacinto, who were members or the prominent General Licerio Topacio family of Imus. “Empion” and “Melong” were the names they fondly called each other. Proprietor Armando “Mandy” Jacinto wanted the names of his parents preserved on the property they gave him.
Emps and Mel’s function hall can accommodate a maximum of 180 people. Depending on the space needed, the hall can be readily subdivided and rented as a half for 30 to 40 persons, while those who prefer a party of 50 to 100 people can rent 3/4 of the hall instead. The Patio does not include banquet or catering services so customers could directly contact the caterer of their choice to suit their particular budgets. In this regard, customers would have to be charge the minimal fee accordingly. Commonly celebrated activities include weddings, debuts, theme parties commemorating occasions such as children’s parties, baptismal, anniversaries, family or class reunions, graduation rites or ceremonies, seminar/workshops, business meetings among others. Amenities include use of a basic sound system with microphones, stage, a podium(as needed), and restrooms for guests, a kitchenette but with no cooking facility, not to mention a bathroom designed for the disabled or those with special needs.
Emps and Mel’s Patio’s basic Mediterranean look can be decorated to suit any theme. It actually boasts of being No. 1 in cleanliness, which is an important consideration, especially for both caterers and guests as well.
